The Venice Neighborhood Council’s Family Holiday Festival will be held from 11AM-3PM Saturday, December 17 at Oakwood Recreation Center.

photo11The annual event is free and open to the public.   In its sixth year, it’s an opportunity for families in Venice to celebrate together in a fun and engaged way. Activities will include free pictures with Santa, real snow slides, Moon bounces, a Kids Fitness Challenge, arts & crafts, toy raffles, and food donated from some of Venice’s finest restaurants.

The event is made possible by ZEFR and Assemblywoman Autumn Burke.  Burke represents the 62nd District in the California State Assembly, which includes coastal Los Angeles and LA County.  She recently won her re-election earlier this month. ZEFR is a Venice-based tech company that specializes in video on YouTube and Facebook.  ZEFR was born in Venice and now employs 300 people in the community.

The VNC is a member of the city’s charter system, and its mission is to improve the quality of life in Venice by building community.

Volunteers and organizations looking to support the event can contact the VNC Outreach Officer, Matt Kline ([email protected])
