Runway Playa Vista threw its First Annual Holiday Block party–a runaway success! Some 10-thousand revelers came to Runway’s Christmas village to see Santa, sled down a real snow hill, buy gifts, and enjoy a taste of what this unique westside retail center has to offer.
Runway transformed its streets into a magical hamlet, reminiscent of European Holiday markets. A backdrop of colorful snow capped peaks, houses and pink reindeer inspired a holiday spirit all day. The many natural gas fire pits were blazing, along with the very popular S’more Station.
The snow hill and the bungee jump had kids and parents lining up all day. They put their imaginations to work at the great craft maker stations, most notably, tie-dye and stocking decoration.
Quality vendors were stocked with great gifts. Families from throughout the westside lined up to see Santa and take a photo in his whimsical Whoville-esque village. Fotopod was a big hit with its silly props and fun masks inside its inflatable photo booth.
