WHAT IS GROUP ACUPUNCTURE:   Traditionally in China, acupuncture takes place in a group setting.  Treatments are simple and repeated often for best results.  Patients sit in chairs or recliners and stay fully clothed rolling up their shirts and pants while the acupuncturist walks around to each patient needling distal points primarily below the elbows and knees. This means we can treat for example back pain with needles in the hands or feet. Treating patients in a group setting has many benefits as many patients find it comforting; and a collective energetic field becomes established which actually makes individual treatments more powerful.

We understand that everyone’s situation is different, and our primary goal is to make acupuncture available to our community so you can get it  as often as you need it.  Venice Beach Community Acupuncture is part of a growing movement in the U.S.  based on a vision of making acupuncture and Chinese medicine part of the solution to our current healthcare crisis.  Acupuncture is most effective when received frequently and regularly and so we provide house calls for yourself, friends and family.  Venice Beach Community Acupuncture wants you to come in regularly enough to get well and stay well. Most US acupuncturists see only one patient per hour and charge $80 to $125 per treatment.  They tend to spend a long time talking with each patient, going over medical records, asking many questions. We don’t. The only way that we at VBCA can make acupuncture affordable and still make a living ourselves is to streamline our treatments and see multiple patients in an hour. So we have returned to the traditional approach; instead of asking you lots of questions, we rely on tongue and pulse diagnosis to decide how to treat you. This is exactly how acupuncture is practiced traditionally in Asia – many patients per hour and very little talking. Note:  We cannot bill your insurance.

MEET VENICE BEACH COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURIST NICHOLAS HARIDOPOLS L.AC:   Nick grew up in New York and is know part of the Venice beach community.  Nick received his Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in School Counseling from Long Island University.  He moved to California to study Traditional Oriental Medicine and graduated from Emperors College.   He is licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and holds certifications from the National certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine NCCAOM in Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbology.
