ABBOT KINNEY FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF A COMMUNITY AFFAIR

Indie Art. Live Music. 300 Vendors. Tasty Food & Drink. 120,000+ Attendees.

Venice, CA (September 25, 2014) — The annual Abbot Kinney Festival returns for its 30th year on Sunday, September 28, 2014, from 10am to 6pm, toasting to the best of world-famous Abbot Kinney Boulevard. A mile-long stretch of food trucks, beer and spirit gardens, live music, handcrafted goods and a popup shrimp boil meet the eclectic brick-and-mortar boutiques, renowned restaurants and art galleries that make Abbot Kinney a singularly unmatched destination.

“We are thrilled to make this year’s festival better than ever, because it’s never been a more exciting time to be on Abbot Kinney,” said Abbot Kinney Festival Association (AKFA) Chair, Donna Humphrey. “Since its inception, the Abbot Kinney Festival has represented the incredible solidarity within this colorful neighborhood—and, each year, we show our appreciation by reinvesting all proceeds back into the Venice community.”

The first Spirit of Venice Award was presented in 1989 to descendants of Abbot Kinney, the founder of Venice, CA.
