-There is no smoking on park grounds , the beach and anywhere west of the Venice Beach Boardwalk.   These areas are smoke free zones.
-Venice Recreation and Parks Close 10:30 p.m. – 5: 30 a.m.
-No animals allowed in Children’s play area
-Dogs prohibited on Ocean Front Walk  from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m on Sat., Sun. and holidays. ( Between Memorial Day to Labor Day)
-Pick up your dog’s litter!  Dog defecation must be removed immediately by owners under penalty of law.
-Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the beach in Venice.
-Do not walk on the Venice Bike Path.  It is meant for bikes only!
-No bicycles on Ocean Front Walk (Venice Beach Boardwalk).  Use the bike path or speedway  (street east  and parallel to the Venice Beach Boardwalk)
-No BBQ pits on Venice Beach
-If you are 15 yrs and older, you need a permit to fish on the Venice pier. Permits can be obtain on the same day at any sporting good store.
-Throw your trash in the garbage bins or take it home with you.  Please don’t litter!  Keep our beaches clean.

We’ll then partner up with businesses and residents in LA who want a barrel installed in a public location. Our goal is to both gain the actual water protection and conservation through the barrels themselves, but also to raise awareness as to what exactly rain barrels are, how simple they are to use and how valuable they are to a dry, urban area like the City of Los Angeles. When Abbot Kinney officially introduced the world to Venice-of-America in 1905 he did it in style.  Across Windward Avenue at Pacific (then Trolley Way), 3-foot high letters glowed to electric life and spelled out the place to be on that 4th of July – in VENICE.  Historic Windward Avenue with its Italianate architecture and colonnade
began life as the entrance to the wonderful amusement pier.  Today it remains our gateway to the remarkable scene known throughout the world as Venice Beach.

Community markers signify and identify local pride – think of the Hollywood sign or the Santa Monica Pier archway.  The VENICE sign, older than them all, was taken down some time in the mid-50s and had been sorely missed.

The Venice Sign Restoration Project was formed to return this welcoming icon as a lasting legacy of Venice’s Centennial celebration.  Many Venetians and local companies joined the effort with LA City officials.  In 2007, the Venice Chamber of Commerce celebrated the newly fabricated LED incarnation with a poem from artist Philomene Long and Councilman Bill Rosendahl supplying the dedication to a cheering crowd.

Barlo Kitchen and Cocktails- This local gem, located on the ground level of Hotel Erwin,   locally sources all of its beer!  That is right!  Every single bottle of brew is made in California. Amongst the offerings are West Coast IPA, Scrimshaw pilsner and Old Rasputin. Now I be eco-friendly and drink beer at the same time.  Now that sounds like responsible partying!
