VENICE RECREATION AND PARK FACILITIES AND THE BOARDWALK:

The Venice Beach Boardwalk and Muscle Beach facilities, run by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, includes basketball, handball and paddle tennis courts; gymnastics and boxing areas; skate parks; graffiti walls; children’s play areas; and more. Located on the Pacific Ocean, the Venice Beach Recreation Center oversees this number one tourist attraction in California. World travelers and locals come together here to create a unique and exciting blend of culture and lifestyle. Dozens of artists and street performers line the Ocean Front Walk across from retail stores and restaurants. Basketball, paddle tennis, and weight-lifing draw crowds of spectators, as do handball tournaments and skaters. All this and more make Venice Beach a people watcher’s paradise and an outdoor enthusiast’s dream.
