What’s more fun than an onion pun?  A grunion run!  And guess what, it’s that time, and the fantastic folks at Venice Oceanarium are hosting a party!

Here is a message from the Venice Oceanarium:

Friends,

It’s been waaaaayyyyy too long! While we’ve been keeping to ourselves for more than a year, Mother Nature stayed busy doing her thing. So….the grunion still run (squirm) ashore to spawn.

Our annual Grunion Party is one of our favorite events, attracting hundreds of curious, late-night beach goers. We’re keeping things a bit on the DL this year until we’re more comfortable hugging and cavorting with each other. But we really hope our beloved Oceanarium family will join us to witness this awesome phenomenon. Bring warm clothes, a flashlight and your sense of adventure. Fun for the whole family.

Friday, June 25th
10:30pm until the elusive little critters show up
The Breakwater Rockson the beach straight down from the
end of Windward Avenue
We do all this on a shoestring budget, love and a lot of passion. We hope you’ll consider making a donation to the Venice Oceanarium. Regardless of the amount, your contribution supports our programs and helps us keep our mission alive.
