Let’s support House of Devon and Help Rescue Me in their mission to save dogs in shelters!

Here is a message from House of Devon’s Devon Steigerwald.

CBS, KTLA, ABC, and more outlets are covering how we are losing so many animals in shelters due to being euthanized from overcrowding from being dumped by bad owners, economy, and mostly dumping now that COVID is lightening up.

3,741 of 12,547 (30%) of the animals in their care between July and November were killed. We’re talking about healthy, happy, and YOUNG PUPS! I’ve been working along with some of the most radical group of women made up of well known rescues including ambassadors, fosters, and volunteers. But we all are extended, not funded enough for the amount of help needed, and refuse to stop giving these animals the chance they deserve.

What do we need??

Besides adoptions, fosters, and other help, we need a location for an adoption event. The more we can show and get adopted with foot traffic means we can pull more and save more lives while hopefully laws can change.

I have been taking pictures of these beauties for a few months now and it is a proven fact that animals out of the shelter including being photographed correctly, adoption rates go UP!

Calling all local businesses, would you like to share your space for these adoption events?

For January we are looking for a Saturday on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th weekend. It would be as easy as just having someone volunteering their space. We do all the rest. It would be lovely to help with getting the word out locally but as long as we have space, we do everything else!!!!
