2014 “Demotion Party” of Playa Venice

As is tradition in Rotary, each club annually has a “Demotion Party” to thank the outgoing President and install the incoming President and their Board. At the California Yacht Club on June 27^th, Playa Venice said its thanks you outgoing President Tom Carson and welcomed new President Katie Butler Litsey whose term will start July 1^st. Because of his travel schedule which did not allow him to attend the event, earlier Peter Smyth was named “Rotarian of the Year” and President Carson’s wife Nicole was given the highest honor that can be given to a non-Rotarian, the “Rotarian at Heart Award.”
