In light of the World Health Organization’s official pandemic declaration of the COVID-19 global outbreak, and the City of Los Angeles guidelines for events over 250 attendees, the Venice Art Crawl Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming
programming through April.

A refund will be issued for ticket holders of the Legendary Women Artists of Venice Awards. And you will be notified when tickets go back on sale.

The safety of our community members is our primary concern. An updated schedule of events will soon be posted. We look forward to bringing together our Venice art community in the future, at a time when the risks associated with public gatherings is considered safe.

Join us at the Venice Art Crawl Legendary Women Artists of Venice Awards celebrating the amazing female artists in this city.

  • Thursday, March 19th, 6:00 – 9:00 pm
  • Hotel Erwin – Larry’s Loft, 1697 Pacific Avenue, Venice, CA

The Venice Art Crawl will host its second Legendary Women Artists of Venice Awards on Thursday, March 19th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Hotel Erwin which will include a performance by Monica Abens as well as vino and vittles. Female skateboarders Grl Swirl will hand out the awards to this year’s recipients, Robin Murez and MB Boissonnault.

Robin Murez, a long-time Venice resident, is being honored for her passion, and many contributions to public art in the community.  She’s currently working on The Flying Carousel, a hand-carved, solar and kid-powered carousel to be installed at Centennial Park.

MB Boissonnault has lived in Venice for almost 20 years. A local favorite, she has regularly shown her paintings at Venice’s Cadillac Hotel and Beyond Baroque, as well as The Pacific Design Center and VICA.

The recipients of VAC’s first Legendary Women Artists of Venice Awards were artist Jean Edelstein; SPARC founder Judy Baca; muralists Jules Muck and Christina “Starfighter” Angelina; Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Lucy Walker; painter Meryl Leibowitz; and Art Education advocate Joelle Dumas.
