About: The AAU was created in 1888 and is the world’s largest multi-sport organization. The AAU began bodybuilding in 1938 and created the sport of powerlifting in 1964. AAU Bodybuilding and Powerlifting are under the umbrella of AAU Strength Sports. All AAU Strength Sport events are subject to 3rd party drug testing.

- AAU Bodybuilding began running events in Muscle Beach (then Santa Monica) in the 1940’s
- Entry fees only $60 first class and $30/crossover
- Deadlift capped at the first 50 to enter
- Bodybuilding and Fitness capped at the first 60 to enter
- Bodybuilding, Classic Bodybuilding, Physique, Figure, Pairs, Bikini, Classic Swimwear
- AAU Membership $14 youth 19 and under $24 Adults $45 International athletes. Membership year is Sept 1-Aug 31 HOWEVER, Those with cards expiring Aug 31 2020 are good and those buying new memberships after Aug 16 2020, your membership is good from day of purchase through Aug 31 2021
