Party in partnership with The Brig on Abbot Kinney. The ticketed event offers drinks, games, food trucks, DJ’s and more. The event is sponsored by Venice staples The Brig, Bird, Joymode, House Beer, Pueblo Viejo, and Dollar Shave Club.

About Safe Place for Youth (SPY):
Safe Place for Youth (SPY) is the leading service provider for homeless youth ages 12-25 on the Westside of Los Angeles. Founded in 2011 by a group of dedicated volunteers, the organization has grown in just over 7 years from entirely volunteer-run to a professional staff of 55, including 9 formerly homeless youth who’ve recently joined the team as Peer Navigators. Services offered include housing support, case management, drop-in services including food, showers and clothing, and education & employment, health & wellness, pregnant & parenting and healing arts support. SPY aims to create a world where all young people can lead safe, stable and self-directed lives by engaging the local community to find meaningful and lasting solutions.
About the Next Generation Committee:
SPY’s Next Generation Committee (NextGen) brings young professionals’ together to raise awareness & seek funds for SPY’s mission to inspire, nurture and empower the resilient human spirit of homeless youth, one young person at a time. The committee facilitates networking events, generates new partnerships and resources, recruits volunteers and donors, and raises funds for SPY programs. On April 27th, 2019, the committee will be hosting their first fundraiser for SPY, The NextGen Block Party at The Brig lot on Abbot Kinney Blvd!
