Here is a message from Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.

LAHSA’s mission statement:  To support, create and sustain solutions to homelessness in Los Angeles County by providing leadership, advocacy, planning, and management of program funding.  lahsa.org/about

Every year, we count the number of people experiencing homelessness throughout the county through the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count. The Count helps us better understand homelessness in our region and direct resources where they’re needed most. We need thousands of volunteers to canvas more than 80 cities and 200 communities across LA County.

This year is no different. We’re looking to friends, old and new, to help us count our homeless neighbors. The 2020 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count will take place January 21-23.
