The Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice would like to invite you to their Youth of the Year  celebration on February 21st at Google.

Here is a message from Venice Boys & Girls Clubs.

Join us as we congratulate all of our Youth of the Year participants and wish our 2019 Youth of the Year Winner, Destiny Clark, good luck in the next round of judging.

Youth of the Year is a year-round program focused on the development of Boys & Girls Club members as community leaders. Teen Club Members are encouraged to apply and compete to become the Club-wide Youth of the Year. Candidates are evaluated on a number of criteria including academic performance, service in the community and the Club, public speaking and essay writing. Several thousand dollars in scholarships are awarded to the youth who participate in the Club-wide competition. Each of the outstanding Club members will serve as spokespersons for the Club in the coming year. The Youth of the Year winner has the opportunity to compete with other Club members on the state, regional and national levels and earn additional scholarships.
