To my beautiful and most wonderful mother! Rest in Peace! It’s been 6 days since you passed. It’s hard to breath. I can’t stop crying. I am angry with the covid rules, restrictions, media, and lockdowns. I am in disbelief. My heart is broken.
.
When I close my eyes, I see you smiling, laughing, singing and dancing with your parents and brothers in heaven. I see you not in pain. I see my dogs Butterface, Pancake, and Gertrude wagging their tails because they are waiting to taste your home cooked meals. I also see you looking down at us from heaven, rooting and cheering your daughters and grand kids, as you always have. I will hear your voice in my thoughts telling us to be strong, to keep going, to always to do our very best, and to be happy!
.
Although it is so hard to breath right now, I will be strong, mom! I will make you and the rest of the family proud.
.
Thank you for coming into my dreams the day after you passed.
Like the priest said during your cremation, we will see and hold each other again…. one day. I have faith, and I believe! I love you mom.

My mother was many things, including a teacher in the Philippines, a restaurant/catering business owner, and a gourmet sous chef that once cooked for Queen Elizabeth. She worked hard her entire life, was devoted to her kids and grandkids. She gave to us selflessly.  My mother was…. is incredible!
