Come celebrate National Night Out with LAPD Pacific Division on Aug. 6th!

The  Venice Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate National Night Out at the world-famous Venice Sign on August 6, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm, along with co-hosts the LAPD Pacific Division, The Pacific Area Boosters Association and LA City Council Member Mike Bonin.

National Night Out is an annual celebration to promote police-community partnership and recognize the role all residents play in creating safe and welcoming neighborhoods.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore will be the guest of honor, pulling the switch to light up the historic Venice Sign “LAPD Blue” at 8:30 pm.

Windward Ave will be filled with valuable information on public safety programs: learn how to start a Neighborhood Watch, or just meet your local Police officers.

We encourage everyone to use alternate forms of mobility to join us and will be providing various measures to make that easier.  Rideshare drop-off access will be at the western end of Windward Circle.

If you ride, there will be a free bike valet courtesy of the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC) and the Metro Bikeshare station on Windward Avenue will be open as well. Walk ‘N Rollers will be providing a bike safety course for kids and Bird will be manning a scooter education and safety course as well. And you will be able to register your bicycle on site with volunteers from The Bike Index.

Venice’s own Venice Paparazzi will be providing a free photo booth with free pictures to take home with you to remember the night!
