Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice hosted their 16th Annual Gala, Superkids: Honoring Our Club’s Heroes on, Friday, October 8th. Almost 300 guests gather together for the first time in over two years under the beautiful Santa Monica beach sunset to celebrate the determination, spirit, and perseverance Club members have shown in the past 19 months. Guests were wowed by the dance performance taught in the Club’s new Hip Hop Program and inspired by the Angel City Youth Chorale. Attendees also heard speeches from two Youth of the Year candidates, Daniel & Alonna, who shared equally moving experiences at the Club. This year was all about highlighting the Club’s amazing members, showcasing their talents, and further proving why they are a daily inspiration.

The evening also included live music from Alanna & These Fine Gentlemen, high stakes bidding wars, Lorenza Rosé, and excellent food. “Our return to the Jonathan Club was nothing short of spectacular! From magical performances to moving reminders why the Club’s work is so important, it as a spectacular event all around. We were so honored to fill the venue to its capacity and celebrate raising half a million dollars with our biggest supporters,” said BGCV CEO, Emily Harvey. It was the perfect evening celebrating Superkids because they are the Club’s true heroes.
