Here is a message from Spogomi World Cup!
We are proud to announce the Spogomi World Cup 2023 USA Stage!
Join us on April 8th, 2023, at Venice Beach for a day of fun and environmental activism, participating in “Spogomi”, a sport in which teams compete against each other for points awarded according to the amount and type of trash picked up in a given area within a set time limit. The winning team will have the chance to represent the USA in the World Cup scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan, from 19th to 23rd November 2023 (all travel/accommodations covered).
Event Details:
- Date: April 8th, 2023 (Saturday)
- Location: Venice Beach
- Schedule: 9:00 AM: Registration 10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony at Muscle Beach Stage Area 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM: Cleanup at the beach (areas to be announced) 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM: Trash weight calculation 1:00 PM: Award and Closing Ceremony 1:30 PM: Event Close
- Teams must consist of three members (sign up with your friends/family!)
- All ages are welcome (at least one team member must be 18+ for participants under 12 with a content of a parent/guardian)
- At least two team members must be an American citizen/residents (no visiting tourists)
