Since 1984, Venice High School along with community partners, hosts an annual awards ceremony and reception where the top students of the senior class are recognized for their scholastic achievements with each one awarded a personalized academic jacket for their accomplishments.

It’s that time of year again that Venice High School celebrates its high-achieving seniors! This will be Venice’s 39th year awarding academic letterman jackets. Approximately 65 Venice High School seniors will potentially qualify for a Jacket of Excellence!

Expending extraordinary efforts to earn such an honor, Jacket awardees have an unweighted 3.75 GPA or higher and superb citizenship. Vibrantly well rounded, they also share their energy and intelligence in the service of our diverse communities.

The Jacket of Excellence Awards ceremony is a moving community event that will be held this year on Thursday, December 7th at 4:30 pm at the Venice High School auditorium with a reception to follow. The event will be highly promoted in the community, emphasizing the importance and role that a quality education plays in encouraging our children and future generations toward academic success.
