About the host Venice Oceanarium:

Venice Oceanarium, A Museum Without Walls, is a grassroots non-profit, which encourages kids (of all ages) to appreciate the environment and become stewards of our precious oceans. Their kids programs foster an appreciation of the wonders of the sea through an integrative approach by blending art, literature, poetry, music and science. They also present the extremely popular, annual Grunion Party!
.
For 10 years the Venice Oceanarium’s hosted its weekly pop-up marine biology lab at the end of the historic Venice fishing pier. Their goal is to build a permanent Venice Oceanarium Pavilion attraction incorporated sea life, history, art and culture. They’ve garnered enthusiastic support from visitors, LA City officials and the Venice community.
