The annual Fire Station 63 Pancake Breakfast was a smashing good time.

The Venice community came out in large for:  Pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, firehouse and truck tours, games, bouncy houses,  and more!  And, Venice Paparazzi was on the scene to document it all, and we even brought one of our locally world famous, super fun, photo booths, thank you to sponsorship from  Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary Club and Councilwoman Traci Park

Gotcha Mo! Mo is our 2023 Venice Sign Local Hero, LAFD Firefighter, and BJJ Blue Belt Super Hero

Here is a message from Hilton Brown, President of the Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary Club!

On the calendar Saturday May 11th was “Fire Services Appreciation Day”. It also happened to be the 2024 Annual Fire Station (“FS”) 63 Pancake Breakfast Celebration hosted by Playa Venice Sunrise (“PVS”) Rotary Club. With all proceeds going to FS63, a hub and gem of the Venice community.
.
Incredibly, and astoundingly, this 11th annual  Pancake breakfast collaboration between FS63 and PVS Rotary was, by far, the biggest and the best. The Venice community showed up and showed out in record numbers!
.
There was balloon artist Candy the Clown along with childrens’ face-painters, bounce houses and hosted fire-hose water spraying demonstrations for/by the kids.  And there was even a very cool military fly-over! All of that wrapped in the musical sounds of Brandon “DJ 4DAY” Duyao!
The reviews are in: the community loved the fun, fellowship and festivities along with the delicious pancakes, eggs, turkey sausages, OJ, coffee and water. All food prepared with love! Almost 1,000 breakfast plates were served! Quite a few of the participants even approached to ask how they could volunteer and be a part of next year’s FS63 pancake breakfast. Rest assured, they will be on the 2025 team!
.
Thank you Venice Paparazzi for advertising and promoting the event. And for the very popular Photo Booth !
.
Thank you Councilwoman Traci Park for the donated, and needed, tables, chairs, port-a-potties, cardboard trash cans and hand sanitizing stations.

.
Thank you FS63 Fire Captain Craig Kuykendall for the collaboration; FS63 firemen and cadets for all of your commitments leading up to and including the day of the event (cranking out pancakes; cooking eggs and sausage with assembly-line efficiency!) and LAFD top brass for attending and giving the event the official seal of approval.
.
Thank you Starbucks Coffee for the massive donation of free coffee.
.
Thanks again Brandon “DJ 4DAY” Duyao for the vibe!
.
And thank you Playa Venice Sunrise Rotarians for showing up in large volunteer numbers to get the job done out in front and behind the scenes!
.
You’re lookin’ good FS63!  Another great annual pancake breakfast and the best is yet to come!
