It was a beautiful, sunny, Saturday morning in May one of the best events of the year!  The 19th annual Fire Station 63 pancake breakfast brought out over 600 hundred smiling faces to enjoy breakfast cooked by our local firefighters, and served by Rotary Club members. 

Here is a message from Rotary Club of Playa Venice Sunrise.

This past Saturday, we gathered at Fire Station 63 in Venice for our 19th Annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser.  We had bouncy houses, balloon animals by Candy the Clown, Yuri the Face Painter, the world famous and super fun Venice Paparazzi photo booth, and the Firefighters worked so hard cooking and entertaining the children with tours of the fire trucks and the use of fire hoses and other equipment.  Station 63 also had a highly successful Silent Auction and a wonderful D.J. to provide something for everyone!   About 25 Rotarians were present to serve approximately 650 people a wonderful breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage links, orange juice and coffee.  Everyone had a wonderful time!
Our fundraising dollars are so important to the Firefighters and recently translated into the purchase of a Sauna which was installed in the firehouse gym.  We understand the saunas are a much-needed tool to help detoxify firefighters from dangerous chemicals and smoke.  Our Club is so proud to partner with these local heroes!  Councilmember Traci Park was on hand to help us with the official dedication of the Sauna and offered wonderful words of appreciation to all Firefighters who support and defend our community.
Thank you to all who supported this amazing event, bringing a greater sense of community appreciation to Fire Station 63!
