The good news is that Venice Paparazzi has been formally documenting the Abbot Kinney Festival since 2007. We have photo galleries from 2007-2019 for you to view below. Maybe you will see yourself! Abbot Kinney Festival 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026.
A message from Abbot Kinney Festival Board of Directors
After much consideration, the Abbot Kinney Festival Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s festival. This decision was influenced by several factors, including the recent slowdown in sponsorships affecting many festivals and events this year.
As a non-profit event organized by dedicated Venice community volunteers, our mission has always been to celebrate the unique spirit of our neighborhood. We look forward to using this time to restructure, retool, and return in 2026 with an even bigger and more vibrant Abbot Kinney Festival.
We deeply value your participation and appreciate your ongoing commitment to the festival. Your registration fee will be fully refunded immediately, and as a token of our gratitude, we’ll be offering you a special discount for next year’s event.
We look forward to celebrating with you in 2026!

Fun VP Fact: Venice Paparazzi’s co-founder Edizen received the Spirit of Venice Award at the 2015 Abbot Kinney Festival.
About the Spirit of Venice Award: Since 1989, the Abbot Kinney Festival Association has recognized exemplary stakeholders nominated by the community for their contributions to the spirit, creativity and uniqueness of Venice. The first Spirit of Venice Award was presented at the 6th Annual Abbot Kinney Festival in 1989 to descendants of Abbot Kinney, the Founder of Venice, California. Also that year, West Washington Boulevard was renamed to Abbot Kinney Boulevard in his honor.
