Aug. 15 2024 message from Venice Art Crawl’s Karen Cava!

August 15, 2024 couldn’t have been more magical for the Venice Art Crawl on Canals. The tide was high & the weather just right, a combination perfect for an evening stroll enjoying the arts. There were 26 locations to visit, all seemed to be buzzing with energy. The Soleil Nail & Spa had folks dancing to a gramophone playing from a vintage car, the Venice Flying Carousel had children spinning by on hand carved animals. There were Brazilian tunes playing alongside Zebi & Martiradonna artwork, as a poet wrote on a pontoon. The Venice Film Festival ran alongside beautiful mosaics, light art, and more. Todd Goodman had his final show in Venice (at least for a while) before starting a new chapter. John Fukuda showed his ceramics while Zach Aronson created art on wood with a torch. Art lovers noshed on popcorn at David Hinnebusch & Craig Cartwright’s show. Will Hawkins, & guests, serenaded into the evening. Carol Davis had her fabulous mosaic art on Court E, while Joe “the Vegan Architect” showed his work on Carroll Canal. To top it off, we had the Ten Women Gallery showing their work at the Canal Market , along with the Inn at Venice hosting artists, including light filled surfboards. There are way too many artists to mention in this little recap. You were ALL amazing! The Venice Art Crawl would like to thank the Venice Canals homeowners for keeping art alive in our community.

Happy Birthday!
