It is almost time to Celebrate 4th of July, which is the birthday of America, and the birthday of Venice.

There are many fantastic things to do over the next several days. So, to make sure that you are aware of all the options, and can maximize the fun factor, here is list of what’s crackin’ in the V for the 4th!

Snap a selfie with the Venice Sign on the 4th of July! 

The Venice Chamber will celebrate the 113th Birthday of “Venice of America” and 4th of July, with the annual changing of the historic VENICE Sign to red, white and blue bulbs.   The Venice Sign will shine red, white and blue starting  July 2nd at 12 midnight.

About the Venice Sign:  Spanning across Windward Avenue at Pacific, the VENICE Sign in lights is a modern day replica of the one originally installed in 1905 by the legendary Abbot Kinney.  View details here.

Come cheer on the 100’s of athletes that will line the iconic stage of Muscle Beach Gym in Venice on 4th of July.   

For decades competitors have traveled from all over the world to compete at the historic Muscle Beach Competitions.  Free admission.  Get there early for best seating.  Details here.

Calling all locals!  Join in the Venice Beach fun at the 4th Annual  Harrison Ave. Block Party.

There will be food trucks to purchase food, face painting, live music, an 18 ft inflatable slide, carousel bouncy house, and a five in one inflatable sports game.  There will also be a kids zone and inflatables, basketball hoop, soccer goals, hulahoops, potato sacks, sidewalk chalk and more.Please bring a dish or drinks to share, and bring your friends.  The more the merrier.  Should be a lot of fun!  Details here.

Celebrate the 4th of July at High Rooftop Lounge!

High Lounge will be open from 12:00pm to 6:30pm on July 4th.  At 6:30pm the entire roof will be cleared of all guests and reset for 4th of July festivities. At 7:30pm High will reopen and stay open until 1:00am.

Hotel guests are encouraged to reserve early, as space is very limited and they are not guaranteed table service as walk-ins.

The entertainment will consist of a DJ lineup, beer pong, and fireworks show.

Table Seating:  The cover charge for table seating will be $65.00 per person for seating on the west side of the roof. Seating on the east side will be $30 per person. Cost of entry includes a table for the entire length of the night (7:30pm-1am) and freedom fries. All reservations must be secured with a credit card at the time of the reservation.  Please direct all inquiries to Food & Beverage Management or the Host team.   

Standing Room:  There is a $20 cover for standing room. This cover charge is for entry only and is limited based on capacity restrictions.
