Today the Venice Paparazzi spotlight shines on PaleoBOSS Lady’s Diane “V” Capaldi

How many years in Venice?  Moved to Venice in 2006. I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and my body does not do well in anything but perfect weather. Venice had perfect weather and perfect people when I arrived in 2006. I had been to Venice many times for work functions and feel in love years ago.  Moving to Venice has been life changing.

In addition I have won over 5 awards and in 2018 nominated for another 3. This means so much to me confirming I am exactly where I belong.

How long in business, and how did you get started?  Since 2013 and I got started because as I was healing my body and looking for community so I started a Facebook page and it grew from there.  Today I am a social media influencer sponsored by many brands.

Venice Questions:

Describe Venice:  Venice in 2006 was a place where everyone knew your name and we all lived together as one. No matter what your story was it worked in Venice. Art, skateboarding and the boardwalk always set the stage for the Venice life.  Today Venice is a tech driven community and uber hip.

Describe your perfect day in Venice:  Beach bike ride to yoga, brunch at James Beach, a nap on the beach, stop by the skate park to see what is up, and then sunset drinks somewhere on the boardwalk followed by dinner at Gjelina.

Where would you take a client that you want to land a deal with?  Gjelina or Tasting Kitchen

What is your craziest or fondest Venice experience?  Anything and everything that happened at YAS, Gjelina and James Beach.

Any shoutouts or thank you’s?

  • To YAS  for all you brought to the community for so many years: Kimberly Fowler and Sherri Rosen
  • To James Beach for being my home away from home and especially to the best bartenders ever: John and Jonathan.
  • To Gjelina for the many, many late nights and great New Year’s Eve memories.
