For just a minimum of $50, you can participate in the coolest event of 2015 — the Polar Plunge. Not only will you brave the cold waters, but you’ll have the opportunity to earn incentives, party with friends, and show off your plunge power to help support Special Olympics.  You can also donate here!

About:  Special Olympics Southern California enriches the lives of more than 17,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their communities through sports, education, and athlete health.

Your generous support helps fund Special Olympics programs in your community. Every dollar raised through the Polar Plunge not only provides free year-round sports training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities, but also gives them empowerment, joy, and improved health.

Special Olympics helps build the self-confidence of a person with intellectual disabilities so they can work and give back to their community. It drives the athletes’ determination so they can overcome hurdles. It inspires people to open their hearts to the wider range of human potential and talent. It provides people with intellectual disabilities an opportunity to shine and live happier, healthier, and longer lives.
