Through dress, we can transform moods, accentuate personalities, and entice our inner star to make an appearance. The newest collection by Portland native, Niki Dimitras does just that. Her line, Luxury Jones, arouses bold, colorful, and expressive gestures which summon only a visceral response.
Niki’s hand-made and artfully reconstructed retro- vintage pieces fit into her own eccentric collage of silk chiffon, jersey cotton, and leather textiles. The collection, “Just for Fun and Epic Nights” is saturated with tribal prints, flashy of sequins, tie-dyes and loosely draped fabrics.
I was recently invited to view the collection at Principessa on Abbot Kinney where her pieces are being housed. I was tempted to buy the rack, but instead, I’ll leave a few to share.
