About Airport Marina Counseling Services:

(AMCS), founded in 1962, is a nonprofit, community-based mental health clinic that serves the LAX, South Bay and Westside areas of Los Angeles. The mission of AMCS is two-fold: to provide affordable, community based mental health services, and to train mental health therapists.

Serving the Greater LAX, South Bay, West LA, & other areas of Los Angeles.

The CDC  offers tips for people to cope with the stress of the pandemic:

  • Take breaks from news of the pandemic
  • Take deep breaths, stretch or meditate
  • Eat healthy, well-balanced meals
  • Exercise regularly
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Avoid alcohol and drugs
  • Make time to unwind and engage in activities you enjoy
  • Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.

Often a consultation with a trained therapist, even via telephone or online, can go a long way in addressing immediate stressors. If you or anyone you know needs to talk, please contact AMCS at 310.670.1410 for an initial consultation with a trained therapist.
