With over 40 pop up galleries, the Venice Art Crawl’ s inaugural event on August 19th was a huge success. The Venice Art Crawl is a free monthly exploration of the Venice Beach area and the world famous Venice artist community and spirit. During the long history of the Venice Boardwalk area it has served as a home for artists, a haven of creativity, and the place to find many famous galleries. The Art Crawl is an event to help local artists show their art. This free monthly art event happens on the third Thursday of every month from 6-10 p.m. Locations targeted by Venice Paparazzi on August 19th include: The Boys and Girls, Venice Historical Society, Larry Bell, Martin Linss at Hotel Erwin. Art events at the Artisan Gallery, The Ave, Bondi Bondi BBQ, Zelda’s, the Waldorf and the Fruit Gallery. The sculpture garden at 73 Market Street ,Ray Rae at Venice Originals, ICU ARt/Venice Art Walls at Jody Maroni’s, Art Alley on speedway, Ross Alexander Wilson at Hama Sushi, Steve Larson at the Townhouse, David Zentz at Nikki’s and Cave Gallery at James’ Beach.
